My name is Tiziano Schiena

I’m a human rights activist, photographer and
videomaker who uses visual storytelling to challenge social injustice and unravel the world's hidden beauty.

My journey began in Rome, where I immersed myself into political activism and led communications for a leftist, anti-mafia party and movements.

After studying Political Science and International Relations,
I moved to Berlin to reconnect with my roots and broaden my perspective.

In 2019, I joined Mediterranea Saving Humans, an organization-active on the internal and external borders of Europe, at land and at sea-who stands for freedom of movement.
My first mission on the Balkan Route profoundly reshaped my understanding of power, humanity, and the true meaning of privilege.

Through my lens, I found my true purpose: amplifying the voices of the unheard.

Because none of us choose where, when, or how we're born—it’s up to us to create the world we want to live in.
